Funding for these courses will depend on whether you are a 1st degree student, 2nd degree student, or a graduate entrant.

Eligibility for NHS funding for these courses from the 5th year is not dependant on the working in Wales commitment.

Medicine and Dental Surgery

Funding advice for students studying Medicine (MBBCh) or BDS Dental Surgery:

• Years 1-4 are not funded by the NHS. Apply for funding through loans and grants.
• Year 5 funding onwards

Medicine and Dental Surgery as a second degree

Funding advice for students studying A100 Medicine course or A204 BDS Dental Surgery:

• Years 1-4 funding
• Year 5 funding onwards

Medicine Graduate Entry Scheme
