Scholarships

We offer a number of scholarships for particular courses, and for students who achieve exceptional exam results.

Award Who may be eligible? Amount (2020 entry)
Cardiff University Scholarship

Undergraduate students of eligible degree subjects, who:

  • achieve minimum grades AAA at A level (or an equivalent qualification)
  • satisfy all aspects of their offer
  • accept the offer of a place at Cardiff on a firm basis by 31 July 2020 (for 2020 entry).
£3,000 (£1,500 in first year and £1,500 in equal instalments in each remaining year of your course)

School of Engineering scholarships

Students enrolled on an electrical and electronic engineering-related degree programme. The amount awarded varies. Find out more on the School of Engineering webpages.

School of Music scholarships

Undergraduate students at the School of Music. There are several scholarships and prizes available. Find out more on the School of Music webpages.

School of Welsh scholarship (also known as the Creative Minds scholarship)

Undergraduate students electing to study Welsh with us. There are four scholarships available, each worth £1,000 each. Find out more on the School of Welsh webpages.
Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol main scholarship Undergraduates studying at least 66% of their course (i.e. 80 credits a year) through the medium of Welsh. £3,000 over three years
Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol medical scholarship Students who are considering applying for a Medicine course at a university in Wales and intend to study at least 33% of their course (i.e. 40 credits a year) through the medium of Welsh.£1,500 over three years
