Induction details for undergraduate and postgraduate taught students in the School of Engineering.

Welcome to all new Engineering students for 2023/24

Welcome Week for new students will take place in the week commencing Monday 25 September, ready for teaching to start the following week on Monday 2 October.

Attendance at these initial School sessions is strongly advised, especially if you have not been to University before. You will have a chance to meet others from your course, meet some academic staff, ask questions of current students, and start to find your way around the buildings.

All sessions for our new undergraduate and MSc students will take place in the Queen’s Buildings, just off Newport Road (postcode CF24 3AA).

Detailed Welcome Week timetables will be emailed to you closer to the time, and posted on our Student Handbook on Learning Central, our virtual learning environment. The broad outline of the programme of activities for each student group is indicated below, in order to help with your travel plans:
