Support for disabled students

Last updated: 28/02/2024 14:12

Register with the Student Disability Service to ensure your access requirements are met.

If you haven't already contacted the Student Disability Service as an applicant before your arrival, contact Student Connect as soon as possible.

You will be asked to provide supporting evidence of your impairment, health condition or specific learning difficulty so that appropriate reasonable adjustments are implemented to support your studies. We advise you to contact us if you are unsure about what evidence is needed.

If you have yet to apply for further support through the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA), we recommend you begin your application process as early as possible.  The application is made through your funding body and further information can be found via the appropriate funding body's website.

If you have already contacted the service as an applicant and have agreed with a disability adviser about what support will benefit your studies, you can view your recommended support by logging onto your SIMS account.

If you have any queries or concerns about accessing your support or if your circumstances have changed, contact us as soon as possible.
