School of Computer Science and Informatics

The School Office is usually open from 9:00 - 12:30 and from 13:30 - 16:30, Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours a telephone answering machine is available to take messages.

Undergraduate degrees

Year 1 students: Before induction please try to complete on-line enrolment, collect your student card and complete any personal arrangements (eg opening a bank account, register with a GP).

Year 1 Computer Science

Year 1 Applied Software Engineering

Year 2 Computer Science

Year 3 Business Information Systems, Computer Science and Software Engineering

Postgraduate degrees

Postgraduate students: Before induction please try to complete on-line enrolment, collect your student card and complete any personal arrangements (e.g. opening a bank account, register with a GP).

Induction for MSc courses will take place week commencing Monday 25th September.

We will meet for Induction on Monday 25th September in Room T/2.09 in the School of Computer Science & Informatics, Queens Buildings, 5 The Parade, Cardiff, CF24 3AA.

Part-time students should prioritise the Thursday session if they are unable to attend on both Monday and Thursday.

Students on joint courses where the School of Computer Science and Informatics is not the home school (MSc Computational and Data Journalism, MSc Data Science and Analytics) should attend the Thursday session.

At the beginning of September, a set of introductory videos will be made available to help you select your optional modules for the year. However, it is requested that new students do not attempt to complete the module selection process at the conclusion of online enrolment, since we wish to give you further advice on your module choices once you have arrived in Cardiff.
