Cardiff University Sport is proud to provide skilled primary and secondary school aged netballers the opportunity to develop and progress in partnership with Welsh Netball.

Cardiff University Netball Development Centre offers promising netballers the opportunity to train and play in a pathway environment, as an addition to any school and/or club sessions and fixtures they might currently participate in.

Our primary school aged sessions are suitable for players of all abilities while our secondary school aged sessions are suitable for netballers with previous playing experience.

Our technical programme is designed to develop, support and encourage talented netballers within the progressive and accessible Welsh Netball pathway.

Give It A Go / Talent ID Events

Our Netball Development Centre sessions will recommence October 2022 for the 2022 - 2023 season.

Ahead of the 2022 - 2023 season, our Give It A Go (primary school aged players) and Talent ID (secondary school aged players) events will take place during October 2022. Further details regarding these events will be shared via email to our netball contacts during September 2022.

Following attending these events players may be selected for Cardiff University Netball Development Centre.

Cardiff University Netball Development Centre is accessible to players in school years 3 through to year 10.

Training and fixtures

Players selected for Cardiff University Netball Development Centre will attend weekly training sessions at Cardiff University Sports Training Village. Squad members will receive quality coaching from qualified and experienced coaches. Our player centred programme, concentrates on elements of play such as technical skill development and improving tactical understanding in a fun yet challenging environment.
