Your digital residences ID

What they are, why you need one, and how to use it.

When you are on University premises, you must have your digital residences ID and your student ID with you at all times. You may be asked to show both to confirm your identity in accordance with University policy and guidance.

You'll also need to show your digital residences ID and student ID:

• to collect parcels and registered mail from your residences reception
• if you are locked out of your room or need to obtain a replacement key or key fob
• to use the bus service between University Hall and Cathays campus or Heath Park campus.

Accessing your digital ID

You can access your digital residences ID through the Student App once you have arrived. It will display under ‘View your digital Student ID’.

The Student App is free to download and will be available to you after you have completed online enrolment.
