Postgraduate taught

Further develop your knowledge, deepen your understanding and enhance your skills with our postgraduate taught courses.

We welcome more than 1,400 postgraduate taught students to study with us every year. On our courses you can benefit from studying in a dynamic but highly supportive environment.

Our postgraduate taught programmes tend to be highly vocational, focused on enhancing the careers and knowledge base of existing healthcare professionals and others in related fields. They aim to provide our professional learners with enhanced academic skills and an understanding of the evidence base that can inform working practices.

We offer a wide range of master’s level postgraduate programmes. The majority of our programmes are delivered on a part-time basis, enabling students to work while they study. We also offer distance/e-learning courses and standalone modules that allow professionals to gain a recognised qualification without disrupting employment.

Each master’s programme has a taught component and a research component. The taught component (PgCert/PgDip), will give you the opportunity to gain new knowledge and academic skills in the discipline. The research component (MSc dissertation) is a focused individual project designed for you to demonstrate you can apply new skills and knowledge to a specific area.

PgDiploma and PgCertificate exit points are available for all our Masters programmes.
