Human factors
Our research aims to explore the interaction between humans and technology.
By collaborating with external partners, we use psychological science to guide the design of products, systems and devices people use every day. We specialise in emerging technologies and challenges such as road vehicle automation and cyber security.
Our Human Factors research centres are the Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Human-Machine Systems (IROHMS) and the Centre for Human Factors Excellence (HuFex).
Associated staff
IROHMS carries out research in the field of digital manufacturing and robotics, human factors and cognitive psychology, mobile and social computing and artificial intelligence.
