Arriving late

We strongly recommend that you arrive at the university no later than your course start date, as stated in your offer email and Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).
If you arrive after this date, you may:
- not be guaranteed university accommodation (see your residences contract for key dates)
- miss induction and enrolment events to help you settle into your studies and make friends
- potentially miss lectures and important events on your course.
The latest date you can enrol on your course and enter the UK will also be detailed on your CAS as the ‘latest start date’.
If you think you will miss the start of your course or have any concerns about your arrival date, email the International Office at international@cardiff.ac.uk.
Refused entry into the UK
The UK Immigration Officers at all the UK airports will refuse entry into the UK if you arrive after your ‘latest start date’ as detailed in your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) email.
If you cannot get to the UK by this date, contact the International Office at international@cardiff.ac.uk to defer your entry on your course, as you will not be able to attend this year.
