Dr Kevin Howe

Head of Analysis Ready Data, Wellcome Sanger Institute.

Kevin has extensive experience in bioinformatics, encompassing software development, large-scale genomic data analysis and biocuration.

He has worked for more than two decades on internationally-recognised biological data resources, serving as Co-investigator for the Ensembl project (leading the genome annotation and comparative genomics activities), and as UK Principal Investigator for WormBase and Alliance of Genome Resources.

Kevin leads the data and integration team within the parasites and microbes programme. His team applies product-engineering approaches and principles to the delivery of software, analysis and data for a range of public health applications and partners.
