Pathway to a degree in Social Science
The pathway to a degree in Social Science is perfect for adult learners looking for a way into higher education, especially those who have not studied for many years.
You will be taught by highly experienced subject specialists. There is plenty of support along the way, especially as we welcome applications from students who have been out of formal education for some time.
How it works
The pathway is made up of 60 credits and is the equivalent of 50% of the first year of your degree. You will study three 20 credit modules:
- Introduction to Social Science (20 credits)
- Social Policy (20 credits)
- Education and Society (20 credits)
You will need to enrol on these modules (courses), ensuring you enrol on the introduction to social science module before the start date.
Under normal circumstances, you can expect to complete the pathway within one year, but you can take longer if needed.
Information about funding and finance can be found here.
