Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship

Our 2023 Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarships offer funding awards to international students across undergraduate and postgraduate taught levels of study.
Awards from £2,000 are available to international students across a wide range of subject areas and will be offered in the form of a tuition fee discount.
Undergraduate awards
International applicants who are holding offers for selected undergraduate programmes will automatically be considered for a Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship of £2,000.
You must submit your application through UCAS by 30 June 2023 and if you meet, or exceed, the conditions stated in your UCAS offer, or, if you are initially awarded an unconditional offer, you will automatically be granted the scholarship as a tuition fee discount.
Applicants domiciled in the following countries are automatically eligible for an enhanced scholarship of £5,000.
- Bangladesh
- Jordan
- Kenya
- Lebanon
- Nigeria
- Pakistan
You will automatically be awarded the appropriate funding as long as you meet our eligibility criteria as set out in the terms and conditions.
Postgraduate taught awards
International applicants from the following countries who apply before 16 June 2023 and are holding offers for selected postgraduate programmes will automatically be considered for the Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship.
If you are not from a country listed, your scholarship eligibility will be assessed on a case by case basis and you will automatically be informed if you are successful.
To be awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship you must meet, or exceed, the conditions of your offer. Applicants initially awarded unconditional offers will automatically be granted the scholarship, which will be in the form of a tuition fee discount. This is subject to you meeting our eligibility criteria and deposit deadlines as set out in the terms and conditions.
Qualifying criteria
If you are from one of the following countries/territories you will automatically be considered for a postgraduate award.

Terms and conditions
Qualifying recipients of the scholarship will receive the award in the form of a tuition fee discount. No cash alternative is available and the award cannot be used in place of any required deposit.
The scholarship is for full-time students who will be based on the Cardiff campus and start their studies in September 2023. The award cannot be used for any other year of entry.
Only self-funding international students are eligible and you must be confirmed as an overseas student for fee paying purposes. The scholarship is not open to students who are in receipt of funding from external bodies such as local Government, charities or private organisations.
