Why study Chinese?
Our Chinese programmes provide the perfect opportunity to learn a language and to embrace the fascinating culture of China. Whether you are a complete beginner of Mandarin Chinese or have studied it up to A Level prior to the course, we can offer you a language pathway that is suited to you.
After successful completion of the programme, your Chinese proficiency will reach an advanced level which is equivalent to C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This is an attribute crucial for anyone who wishes to live in China or Taiwan, or work for a Chinese or Taiwanese organisation.
You will be spending year three in a Chinese speaking country (China or Taiwan). This will allow you to become fully immersed in Chinese life via studying in Chinese or Taiwanese Universities.
Such experience will provide you with great knowledge of not only the Chinese language but of the day to day culture of China or Taiwan.
