HCT348 - Musculoskeletal Advanced Practice First Contact Practitioner

Mae'r cynnwys hwn ar gael yn Saesneg yn unig.

This module enables students to build the capability required to successfully perform as a First Contact Practitioner with musculoskeletal specialism.

It aims to build theoretical knowledge and practical skills to allow any appropriate health care professional to screen and effectively manage patients presenting at the point of first contact with potentially complex, and multifactorial clinical conditions which have a strong musculoskeletal bias.

The curriculum encourages a holistic ethos to patient management, incorporating a blend of biopsychosocial and traditional biomedical approaches. While there is a practical and skill focus to module content and delivery, an ethos of critical practice evaluation and evidence-based practice will be facilitated throughout. Students will be encouraged to utilise this in their current and future roles.

This module will also consider the considerable and increasing challenge of clinical complexity in First Contact Practice, including the evolving theoretical models and the practical application of these, as well as exploring how we as clinicians can manage clinical risk within this increasingly complex clinical context.
