HCT226 - Clinical Kinesiology and Tissue Pathology

Mae'r cynnwys hwn ar gael yn Saesneg yn unig.

The aim of this module is to give the student an advanced understanding of the biomechanics and motor control of the musculo-skeletal system and of movement analysis.

Additionally, the static and dynamic effects of posture and movement in terms of stress to anatomical structures are explored. The module will make use of knowledge within these fields as well as neuroscience and movement psychology to explain and illustrate the themes discussed on different days.

The processes of tissue pathology, for example cartilage, disc and bone and its effect on function, will be explored. Students will already have a sound knowledge of gross anatomy and physiology and will be encouraged to develop a better understanding of the biomechanical aspects of joint movement and functional activities.
