Allan Meek is a successful, Cardiff-based entrepreneur and business leader.
He established the SCS Group of companies in the early 1990s and has overseen its growth to the value of £11m turnover.
SCS are a leading provider of specialist engineering services to the construction sector. With Smoke Control Systems at their heart, the group designs and develops passive ventilation systems and fire safety systems for its clients.
In addition to the entrepreneurial development of the group, Allan has led organisational development across all key functions including project management, finance, research and innovation, and marketing and HR.
Allan has identified the critical importance of employee engagement with his companies and established this as a route to competitive advantage through coaching, mentoring and commitment to training and developing its people. In recognition of Allan’s success in this area, SCS group ranks among Building Magazine’s top 50 places to work and was recently awarded the Investors in People Gold status.
Allan is an avid traveller and likes to get out in the fresh air, regularly taking part in triathlons, climbing mountains and trekking. Ever the adventurer, he summited Mount Everest in May 2017.
