Flipgrid privacy statement
This notice sets out how the University and Flipgrid use the data of people employed at the University.
Cardiff University and Flipgrid are the data controllers for the information our staff members upload.
By uploading video, staff members are agreeing for Cardiff University and Flipgrid to use your data for the purposes of the virtual celebration ceremonies, and to be viewed by visitors to this site.
The Flipgrid pages are publicly available and therefore the videos you upload can be accessed by the public and potentially shared. Please ensure you have read Flipgrid’s terms of use before uploading your video.
The video will be stored on Flipgrid’s servers in the US, and the University will retain a copy of your video for two years, for use on social media and other marketing purposes, in line with the University’s legitimate interests.
If you wish to withdraw your agreement at any time, please contact cu-events@cardiff.ac.uk.
