Welcome to our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) pages. Here you can find out about the work we’re doing on our EDI initiatives.
Our work is guided by our Strategic Equality Plan and our charter mark applications and their associated action plans. Work in this area is led by our EDI hub team, and supported by colleagues and students from across the University.
We aim to establish an inclusive culture free from discrimination and based upon our university values of dignity, courtesy and respect. We recognise the right of every person to be treated in accordance with these values.
We are committed to advancing our equity ambitions on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion and belief (including lack of belief), sex and sexual orientation and to fostering good relations between different groups.
