Academic promotions

Academic promotion provides eligible staff with the opportunity to progress to more senior academic roles in recognition of their achievements and contributions.

Promotion is available to Senior Lecturer, Reader and Personal Chair (Professor) for staff on the Teaching and Research and Teaching and Scholarship career pathways. For staff on the Research career pathway, promotion is available to Senior Research Fellow, Principal Research Fellow and Professorial Research Fellow.
