New students
If you’re a new student and have enrolled online, you can get help and support by using our Student Connect portal, or by emailing studentconnect@cardiff.ac.uk.
You can ask any question about anything relating to your university life, whether it’s about studying or your wellbeing.
Student Connect
Our Student Connect team and portal is your first point of contact if you need any support while you are studying here.
Based on the ground floor of the Centre for Student Life, the Student Connect team are here to help you with a huge range of enquiries and support many of the processes or services you might need.
Student Connect is an easy way for you to get in touch with our Student Life teams who are based in the Centre for Student Life.
Student mentors
If you've got questions about your course, navigating the campus or want to meet new people from your course, then your student mentor is on hand to help. Whether you want to know about learning and teaching, support services or how to get the most out of your time with us, keep an eye on your university emails and connect with your mentor.

Study skills
Regardless of your course or level of study we aim to support all of our students in their learning. As a Cardiff University student you will have access to self-guided online tutorials, a dedicated Study Skills module on Learning Central as well as live interactive classes.

The Students’ Union provides a free, confidential and independent advice service for students at Cardiff University.
