Visiting staff and students

Students, researchers, academics and staff from other higher education institutions can join our libraries using our dedicated membership schemes.

Staff, researchers, taught postgraduates and distance learners from participating higher education institutions are able to borrow under the SCONUL Access scheme. Your home institution can provide details on how to apply.

Under the SCONUL Access scheme you can join as a Cardiff University member, which means you are able to:

Cardiff Met undergraduates can join our libraries under our reciprocal scheme. Speak to your home library for information on how to apply.

You'll be able to borrow up to two items at any one time from our 2 week and 4 week loan collections.

RWCMD undergraduates can join our libraries under our reciprocal scheme. Speak to your home library for information on how to apply.

You'll be able to borrow up to two items at any one time from our 2 week and 4 week loan collections and access the Music library during restricted access hours.

If you are a full time undergraduate from any other SCONUL Access institution or are a regular visitor to our libraries, you may want to get a Reference/Access-only ID card.

Please note: you will not be entitled to borrow books with this card.
