HCT254 - Image Guided Interventional Procedures of the Breast: Mammography

The module aims to provide the student with the necessary advanced skills and specialist knowledge to become highly competent in performing image-guided biopsy procedures of the breast.

It also aims to develop the specialist skills and knowledge required to advance practice and make an important contribution to the diagnosis of breast disease and breast imaging services.

A clinical placement is required for this module.

Programme pathway

This is an optional module for MSc Radiography (& PgCert, PgDip). It can also be taken as a stand-alone module for Radiographers or other qualified healthcare professionals.

Overseas students wishing to undertake this module can only do so with an agreed clinical placement. There would be an additional charge for this. Contact the module leader for further information.
