We pride ourselves on our relationship with current students and hope to continue to offer services to students after graduation and beyond.

Our students go into a variety of different careers when they graduate. Here, some of our graduates tell us how studying geography and planning has helped them professionally, look back on their time at Cardiff, and share some of their favourite memories.

Laurie Perdikis (BSc 2014)

After graduating with his BSc in Geography (Human) and Planning, Laurie Perdikis (BSc 2014) went on to complete a Master's in the Political Economy of Europe. Here he shares his reasons for choosing Cardiff University for his undergraduate degree.

Emma Thorpe (BSc 2014)

After graduating from the School of Geography and Planning, Emma Thorpe (BSc 2014) secured a graduate role at Jones Lang LaSalle.

Tom Watson (BSc 2010, MSc 2012)

After completing both his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the School of Geography and Planning, Tom Watson (BSc 2010, MSc 2012) isn't ruling out the prospect of a PhD.

Eleri Davies (MSc 2009)

Eleri Davies (MSc 2009) studied her part-time Master's around her roles in the public sector. She now works as a renewables developer, project managing onshore wind projects across Wales.

Luke Hillson (BSc 2004, MA 2005)

Luke Hillson (BSc 2004, MA 2005) completed both his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the School of Geography and Planning. His career since has seen him design an Olympic venue.

Rhys Govier (BSc 2011, MSc 2013)

Rhys Govier (BSc 2011, MSc 2013) completed both his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the School of Geography and Planning before securing his role as a planner with Savills. He says that his degrees gave him a good head start in his planning career.

Cristian Bevington (BSc 2013)

Cristian Bevington (BSc 2013) studied City and Regional Planning and went on to become a planner at AECOM. He credits his placement year with helping him in his career.
