The Hideout Coffee House
The Hideout is a community-focused café run by local resident Moseem Suleman and two young women from the community Sophia Ottley and Jia ma (Rehma)
The idea
To open a community coffee house in the heart of Grangetown, bringing the community together in one space.
Progress
The Hideout Coffee House opened in June 2017 with help from the Community Gateway project and offers visitors a selection of coffee, tea, ice cream, milkshakes and much more. Schemes such as ‘Buy one gift one’, barista training, book swaps and Culture Café have been very well received and the café is now looking to add more community activities and events to its calendar.
Opening hours
The Hideout will be closed until the launch of the new Grange Pavilion in early 2020
