Our goal is to use optimal and where appropriate novel methodologies to deliver scientifically rich studies, optimising cancer care in solid and haematological malignancies.

Expertise

We have significant international experience in a range of areas, including trials methodology. Our clinical leadership and expertise covers haematological and solid cancers, supportive care, early and late phase trials and early detection.

Where possible our trials incorporate innovative, cost effective methodologies including pick-a-winner and adaptive therapy designs, which allow for a study to change the focus of a drug, for example, where early data suggest a more likely success. This means we can be as efficient in possible in following more likely paths of enquiry that could benefit patients whilst eliminating ones that do not.

We developed scientifically driven trials, with molecular and imaging biomarkers and complementary research questions, learning as much as we can from patients participating.

Collaboration with Chief Investigators

We provide opportunities for joint working and development – with new or seasoned Chief Investigators. We work to support appropriately resourced trials and studies across a range of funders (in the UK and internationally) with strategic support of smaller studies. We work in close collaboration with patient groups to deliver high quality outputs relevant to clinical care. We will consider any well-designed research study or trial idea, even those currently outside scope.
