I have worked on projects funded by the GNC for England and Wales Trust, the Wales Office of Research and Development for Health and Social Care. Most recently working on the EPIC Project ‘Evidence into Practice: Evaluating a Child-Centred Intervention for Diabetes Medicine Management’ was commissioned in 2007 by the National Institute for Health Research Service Delivery and Organisation Programme (SDO/211/2007 ISRCTN17551624). I successfully completed a number of systematic reviews using a wide variety of approaches/methodologies. My most recent review has been for The Wales Centre for Evidence-Based Care, a Collaborating Centre of the Joanna Briggs Institute at the Cardiff School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies which looked at the transition experiences of newly graduate nurses.
I have over 15 years experience as a health services researcher with a focus on systematic review and quantitative methodology's. I have published widely in nursing journals on stress, burnout and coping in the mental health professions with a particular interest in community mental health nurses.
I teach research methodology and statistics across a number on postgraduate courses
