Religious Studies and Theology
Religion has been part of human experience from the earliest traces of human existence to the present day.
Most cultures have used religion to express their understanding of the purpose of life and the foundation of personal and social behaviour.
You will have the opportunity to explore both your own and other peoples' religious history and culture, and some of the fundamental questions of existence. Religion in Late Antiquity, Asian Religions and all the major contemporary faiths – Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, among others - are on offer, all taught by academics bringing their research into the classroom, using text, poetry, art, film, biography, drama and fieldwork.
