Ancient History
We explore the history, society and culture of the Greek and Roman world, from the Bronze Age to the Byzantine Empire.
The impact of these ancient civilisations remains in many modern cultures, shaping European and other societies today.
You'll discover the subject through original source material: ancient literature, ranging from epic poems and legal speeches to historical accounts and private letters; inscriptions and papyri; and archaeological material, notably art, architecture, burials and survey data.
