Graduation marked with awards

27 Gorffennaf 2017

Cardiff Business School’s 2017 Graduation ceremonies and reception were held on Wednesday 19 July.

The formal ceremonies, honouring Undergraduate, Specialist Masters, MBA, PhD and DSc graduands, were conducted at St David’s Hall while a lunchtime reception was held in a marquee on the lawn of Cardiff University’s historic, and architecturally impressive, Main Building. This was an opportunity for graduates to celebrate with friends, family and faculty and raise a toast to their success and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

The Class of 2017 reflects the School’s diverse, international community of faculty and students and is the second tranche to graduate since the launch of the School’s distinctive and progressive public value strategy. The strategy, which promotes economic and social improvement, encourages students to think differently, question the status quo, and consider how they can make a positive change to business practice and society.

During the reception, Professor Martin Kitchener, Dean of Cardiff Business School, presented a number of Postgraduate student awards which recognise academic achievement.
