President’s PhD Scholarship in Positron Emission Tomography

Applications are invited from well-qualified candidates to join a funded* drug discovery project from October 2010. This project is to further develop the ligand chemistry for selected metals (especially Y, Cu, Ga) in the design of new probes for application in Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and explore their applications in streamlining drug discovery strategies. The student will be part of a team working in related areas and will interact with the newly built PET Centre in Cardiff which has facilities for novel chemistry development and all requirements for PET studies and underpinning chemistry development.
