PhD (1980, University of Bradford, Application of photoelectron spectroscopy to the study of solid surfaces). Appointed as Experimental Officer/Research Officer, Cardiff, in 1979. Appointed Lecturer in Physical Chemistry in 1999, and Senior Lecturer in 2008.
