Lean Six Sigma Fast Track Yellow and Green Belt Training

This is a very practical programme that takes place over five days. It enables attendees to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes, irrespective of the size or type of industry.

Expert LEAN Programme

This five-day programme is designed to equip change agents, managers and leaders with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead successful transformations particularly those within service organisations.

It will provide new insights to those who already have a good understanding of lean, and also to those who are experienced in the application of lean within a manufacturing context and wish to understand the latest contributions discovered in the world of service.

Different, cutting edge perspectives about a variety of improvement methodologies will be introduced and their strengths and weaknesses critically evaluated. At the end of the programme, delegates will possess a deep understanding of the latest thinking within the improvement arena.

Leadership and Business Administration (LBA) Programme

The Leadership and Business Administration (LBA) programme is designed to offer a specific work related insight from our Executive MBA.

Modules will be wholly applicable to the workplace, so that, following a session, participants can begin practically applying their learning straight away.

Introduction to Lean and Operational Excellence

The fee to attend this event is £200 to raise funds and to support the Business School's charity for 2018-19, Llamau, the largest homeless charity for Wales.

Our Director of Executive Education, Sarah Lethbridge, is offering a day of training in Lean and Operational Excellence in aid of Llamau, a charity that seeks to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women. All proceeds will be donated to Llamau as Cardiff Business School’s Charity of the Year.

This session will explore the core principles of Lean, Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence and will introduce some key tools to bring about positive change.

iLEGO workshop - Innovation Lean Effective Green Operations

After the success of the first iLEGO workshop in January 2016, Cardiff Business School presents another opportunity for practitioners and academics to get together to share ideas on how to put innovation at the heart of creating sustainable supply chains.

Cardiff have teamed up with Panalpina, the first global supply chain company to commit to set science-based targets as part of their global effort to reduce environmental impacts.

Commercial Thinking Programme

The training focuses on the core question 'What does it mean to develop Commercial Thinking in the context of our team and organisation?'

The programme is focused on mindset change followed by practical implementation techniques. It works for individuals from front-line delivery through to middle-management anywhere across the public sector where financial targets are of growing importance. The programme is especially useful when 2 or 3 individuals from the same team or division attend. The participants should be influencers who can take the learning from the programme back to their colleagues and act as conduits for mindset change.

Supporting your Digital Leadership Masterclass

Our one day masterclasses provide easy access to the latest innovative thinking. You will be working and networking in collaboration with other senior professionals and led by a team of world-leading academics and top practitioners in their fields of expertise.

Previous masterclasses have run on subjects as diverse as digital leadership, corporate governance, sustainable business, and behavioural finance. Our courses are applicable to most industry sectors and organisations, and offer an opportunity to network and share best practice with fellow participants.

This session provides an opportunity for Senior Leaders to explore how best to support the growth and organisation-wide integration of ‘Digital’ within their organisation.

Our core programmes form the basis of our Executive Education offering and include a focus on leadership, innovation and efficiency in business.

Building on the success of the National Assembly’s Women in Public Life Development scheme, facilitated by us and development agency Chwarae Teg, this programme will help organisations to redress inequality within their senior leadership team.

This will be achieved through reflection, coaching and group evaluation of the findings from our academic research. A transformative development programme, critically aimed at both men and women, this initiative will help organisations keen to achieve 50:50 representation by 2020.

In line with our new School strategy, this leadership programme will assist you to appreciate the benefits of an ethical approach to business, one that understands the importance of contributing to society as well as generating profit.

You will be invited to investigate and discuss the grand challenges facing society and, in partnership with some of the leading lights within leadership, public management and governance, start to raise and respond to these challenges.

This programme brings together Professor Robert Morgan and Dr Joe O’Mahoney, thought leaders in their field, who will work with organisations to: assess their current innovative capability and develop the innovation capability of participants so as to effectively harness and increase their innovation potential.

Our Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water case study will give you a better understanding of how this programme can work for your organisation.

We offer organisations and individuals a unique perspective on service improvement thanks to its prestigious improvement heritage. This course discusses different types of service innovation and improvement methodologies.

It assists you to understand and practice a range of techniques, whilst considering the practicalities of how to deploy these tactics within your organisation, winning hearts and minds.
