Research interests

My main interests lie in the role of education and continuing professional development in the delivery sustainable development; the study and teaching of environmental design and sustainability as applied to the built environment.

I am also interested in the social production of buildings, collaborative practices, the investigation of professional working practices in the delivery of built environment sustainability.

I am the director of the following:

WEST Project

Will develop and deliver pilot training modules arising from both industry need and research project outcomes from the allied LCRi Convergence Energy Programme. Courses will be delivered using a variety of methods to suit industry needs.

BEST Programme

Aims to develop and pilot strategic training to support people working with the sustainable energy and built environment sectors including architects, engineers, craftspeople and skilled workers. The Programme will support the development of the existing workforce, and will enable the delivery of the Welsh Governments aspirations towards sustainable development.
