Our diverse range of research centres reflects the varied interests and achievements of our staff.

Staff may be affiliated to one or more centres, which allows them the flexibility to pursue a range of interests and maximise interdisciplinary working.

Centre for Research in the Built Environment (CRiBE)

Our primary aim is the effective and sustainable design, construction and operation of the built environment.

Design Research Unit Wales (DRUw)

We were established to implement architectural, urban design and landscape projects from the position of research.

Low Carbon Research Institute (LCRI)

We are a virtual organisation set up in 2008 with initial funding support from the Higher Education Funding Council of Wales (HEFCW).

Practice, Research and Advancement in South Asian Design and Architecture (PRASADA)

We study the architectural traditions of South Asia and its Diaspora.

Centre for Sustainable Design of the Built Environment (SuDoBE)

We work with BRE Group to promote sustainable design in Wales, the UK and internationally.
