The Away Night 25/10/2007
Here is the most expected WSA event: THE AWAY NIGHT . It is a latent demand
that seems to be implemented, without any pushing. Feel welcome to show out
your research interest and join this encounter!
THE AWAY NIGHT is a brainstorming space. H ere we wish to explore and find
out potential research networks where teaching and research individuals/ clans
pop up new emerging ideas. We are not disconnected islands but active clusters .
This evening event appears as a n exceptional platform in which cre ative work s
can be easily and informally shown, without having to arrange formal meeting s or
rent a gallery or chat up a magazine editor.
Presentation
Each presentation is allowed up to 9 images, each shown for 20 seconds each,
giving 3 minutes of fame be fore the next presenter is up. It will be presented in
PowerPoint format . This system keeps presentations concise, levels up the
interest, and gives more people the chance to show what ongoing or potential
research is carrying out.
Key Questions
In order to guide your presentation we have formulated some key questions:
1. What kind of research field(s) are you interested?
2. In terms of research motivations, what do you hate? Or what are those
'enemies'?
3. What do you purpose instead?
Date and Place
The event took place on Thursday 25th October in the Green Room.
