The WSA Masters Exhibition is being held at The Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London on the 11th July, 2013 at 6:00pm.
Interested in the craft of making, the Welsh School of Architecture is a research driven centre of excellence for architectural design. The school's holistic approach to architecture explores the poetics of place, materials and construction.
The MArch2 design thesis is conducted through seven thematic units in which students adopt an intellectual standpoint within broader research topics; synthesising research to create reflective outputs that proclaim their architectural position.
These units are based on and responsive to significant contemporary issues and responsibilities within architecture, whilst aimed at developing "timeless" architectural skills. As such, the thesis demands a proposition grounded in the needs of the real world, where the architectural idea works in the contexts of inhabitation, site, climate, culture and feasible technologies.
