Our vocationally focused MSc degree in Applied Environmental Geology provides the requisite skills for employment in professional geo-environmental and geotechnical consultancies and government environmental agencies.
This course provides an advanced understanding of environmental hazards and technical expertise in risk assessment with a focus on the methods needed to analyse past hazards and forecast future ones.
This course draws on interdisciplinary knowledge to provide a broad outlook on water problems within the context of current realities, future projections of climate change, and anthropogenic pressures on water resources and ecosystems.
Our School of Earth and Environmental Sciences' postgraduate research degrees are based on independent full-time research work, with an academic supervisor to guide you in discovering new and exciting areas.
The standard of the research and facilities at Cardiff University is excellent and after completing my undergraduate degree here I knew that Cardiff was a great city to live and work in.
