View the collections

The Institutional Archives’ collections can be viewed by bona fide researchers, via appointment, in the Special Collection’s Seminar Room located in the Arts & Social Studies Library. Professional archive staff will be on hand to help you to access the records.

Arrangements to view records must be made at least a week in advance by contacting the University Records Manager.

Access restrictions

Access to some records may be restricted in line with data protection principles.

Photocopying

Photocopying can be provided for researchers. In the interests of security and preservation of collections, all copying is carried out by Special Collections and Archives staff.

Not all collections are suitable for all types of copying and we reserve the right to refuse services where the process will cause damage.

In addition, copying orders can only be processed if they are in accordance with current UK copyright law.
