We are a joint University-Industry initiative that undertakes world-class research with impact in the fields of logistics and manufacturing operations management. We bridge the gap between theory and practice in these areas for the benefit of a sustainable economy, environment and society.

We work together with Industry to tackle important contemporary problems in logistics and manufacturing operations management, creating business insights and commercially viable solutions.

We specialise in supply chain forecasting, inventory control, transportation science, supply chain modelling, logistics business modelling and freight economics.

Organised by the IMA Journal of Management Mathematics, and edited by Professors Emrah Demir and Aris Syntetos (Cardiff University) and Professor Tom Van Woensel (Eindhoven University of Technology), a new special issue has just been published, entitled “The future of last-mile logistics”.
