Acute Simulation Areas

Our simulation spaces also include additional areas for acute simulation that can be utilised for a number of purposes.

We have three acute simulation areas each with 4 hospital beds. The primary use of these areas is for patient handling training with mobile patient handling equipment available, but can offer additional space for immersive, simulated learning within an acute care setting.

Simulated emergency care area

Our facilities also include a small, versatile clinical area which can have multiple functions. This area can be set up as an operating theatre, an emergency department for major injuries or a range of other intensive care scenarios.

This area has the same installations and recording capabilities as Y Swit with the addition of mobile theatre lights.
