Students from all around the globe choose Cardiff as their study abroad destination

Cardiff Business School has strengthened its international research and exchange ties, by signing a new Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Cornell University, USA.

This is the first formal agreement between the two institutions; it is centred on facilitating student exchange and builds on existing links with Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations (ILR).

The two institutions agree to consolidate and increase international exchange opportunities as well as commencing new collaborative research activities.

Cardiff Business School undergraduate students will be able to apply to study for one semester at Cornell’s New York State campus from the 2017/18 academic year. Faculty in Cardiff will also be able to choose Cornell as a destination for exchange.

In return, Cornell University students will be welcomed to Cardiff and accepted onto its highly-regarded undergraduate programmes.

Professor Martin Kitchener, Dean of Cardiff Business School, said: “We have enjoyed a long and productive association with Cornell University but this is the first time we have entered into a formal agreement. It strengthens our relationship and increases our commitment to increasing exchange opportunities, which are a growing element of our offering to current and prospective students.”

He added: “I’d like to thank colleagues for their hard work in developing these important agreements and look forward to welcoming the first cohort of Cornell students to Wales in the near future.”
