Mobile crowdsensing workshop – Grangetown

The workshop will last for approximately 3 hours. We will begin by talking about elements of the project, after moving on to the field survey. You will be given a small sensor in order to measure the air quality in the surrounding area during this time.

Researchers from the Welsh School of Architecture have launched this pilot project to investigate new methodologies for testing urban air quality using mobile crowdsensing. The project will also look at comparing the air quality in different local areas with the types of plants that grow there, as different plant species are known to have different air cleansing properties.
