Virtual service hosting

We can host virtual machines to provide both production and development services for researchers that can also interface with our existing HPC services.

This service augments the existing University virtualisation service and includes backup. Certain requirements are better suited to the ARCCA platform, including hosting that requires:

• value added research software development or support
• direct access to existing high capacity research storage
• requires direct high-speed connectivity to the Hawk cluster

In addition to the above, ARCCA can provide hosting and software development costs in support of research grant applications as well as short-term 'proof-of-concept' virtual machines for researchers to use free of charge.
