Data analytics and AI
Through use of the ‘Falcon’ supercomputer, researchers are able to capitalise on opportunities provided by data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML).
Falcon provides access to Graphical Processing Units (GPU) partitions comprising Nvidia H200, H100, L40S and V100 GPU nodes for increased throughput required by applications such as MatLab, PyTorch and TensorFlow.
Falcon also supports interactive tools through the use of Open Ondemand. This service provides a web interface for using the supercomputing facilities and makes available tools such as Remote Desktops for interactive sessions, Rstudio Server for a familiar interface to programming language R and Jupyter notebooks for common interface for Python and other programming languages. Access to Linux shell, job monitoring, and file transfer also available through this service.
