Dr Mario Gualano

Dr Mario Gualano has 30 years of international business leadership experience in the highly regulated medical diagnostics and biotechnology sector.

Mario started his career with Unilever and has since worked extensively across Europe, America and China. Most recently, he was Global President at Thermo Fisher Scientific and Group CEO of BBI Solutions, a global, South Wales-based, private equity-owned business.

Mario’s experience includes international leadership of R&D, manufacturing operations, sales and marketing and general management functions. He has extensive experience in strategy deployment, business integration, lean manufacturing/ process improvement and ESG. He has led corporate fundraising, refinancing, mergers, acquisitions & divestitures and private equity exit processes.

Mario is an alumnus of Cardiff University, where he earned his bachelor's degree and PhD, and gained his MBA from Henley Management College. He holds a number of Director and Non-Executive Director positions and is a consultant advisor to private equity investment businesses.
