The School offers three-year undergraduate (pre-registration) full degree schemes in Adult Nursing, Children’s Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Midwifery You can become a registered nurse and achieve a highly regarded Cardiff University Degree qualification, at the same time.

Study with us to become a nurse or a midwife and we can offer you the following benefits, depending on your chosen course:

  • No tuition fees to pay for all programmes.
  • NHS Bursary, financial support this is reviewed annually.
  • Additional means-tested allowances for children and dependents are available.
  • Starting salaries of over £17,000 per year (when qualified).

These are vocationally-relevant degree programmes which include a well-balanced mixture of practice and theory. Clinical Learning Opportunities are structured to maximise the link between clinical and theoretical learning, and to ensure you benefit from a broad range of clinical experiences delivered by a variety of service providers.

Please Note:    All UK nursing programmes are being revised as required by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.  The nursing programmes at Cardiff University will reflect these changes and will be implemented for 2012 entry.  Details will be placed on this web page as they become available.
