Entry Requirements 2012 for all Nursing and Midwifery Programmes

A-level: Typical offer BBB.

Welsh Bacc: To include a pass in the core and two A-level passes at grade B or above.

Int Bacc: 28 points. English Language, Maths and a Physical Science must be offered at Subsidiary or GCSE Level, if not at Higher Level.

Other: Applications from those offering alternative/vocational/overseas qualifications (e.g. Access, Vocational A-level) are welcome, as are those who may have combinations of qualifications or other relevant work/life experience. Please contact the Admissions Tutors for further information.

Essential entry requirements

Applicants will be expected to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs including English Language, Maths and a Physical Science at grade C or above.  In certain circumstances Key Skills at Level 3 in Communication and Application of Number may be accepted in lieu of English/Welsh and Mathematics.

Applicants offering entry requirements over three years old will be required to provide evidence of recent study at an appropriate level.

Please note:    Deferred entry is not available for the Bachelor of Midwifery programme.
