Work with us

Whether you work in industry, academia, government or the third sector, we can add value to your activities. Contact us to find out more.

Why work with us?

We are collaborative, interdisciplinary, and have a dedicated team and space to support you. Based in Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, our surroundings provide a good testbed for research and we have access to unique facilities and data.

Industry, government and the third sector

If you are interested in water security, we are interested in working with you. We can work with external organisations by a range of mechanisms:

Research

We are keen to co-design and co-create research with you, which will allow your organisation’s exact challenges to be studied by our academics and ensure impactful outcomes.

This includes co-supervision of a FRESH CDT student which will allow an early career freshwater bio-science researcher to receive comprehensive training, while performing research co-directed by your organisation.

Networking

Use our connections, events and facilities to meet industry leaders concerned with water issues.

We are open to hosting meetings and discussions in our facilities and acting as an introducer, connecting many stakeholders interested in water security, whether locally, nationally or internationally.

Knowledge sharing

Our academics sit on a range of advisory boards and have contributed to multiple consultation projects. Get in touch if you wish to find out more.

Academic research collaborators

We are always open to supporting new research collaborations with our interdisciplinary community. Get in touch to find out more.

Research fellows, postdocs and PhD students

We support a vibrant, interdisciplinary community of early career researchers. If you are a researcher with interests in water security, we would be interested in hearing from you, whatever your discipline.

As part of our involvement with the GW4 Water Security Alliance, we also offer a range of exciting PhD studentships through the WISE and FRESH centres for doctoral training.

Courses

Join our new, free and open online course, set to run for a second time in October 2019, to learn more about local and global water security challenges.
