Opportunities to visit

Campus visits

We are happy to welcome school groups to Cathays Park campus throughout the academic year. Campus visits are a great way for students to explore the campus, learn more about student life and ask any questions they may have about the university.

During a campus visit students will receive the following:

  • two presentations touching on aspects of student life and experiences
  • a student-led campus tour

We run our campus visits throughout term time, with the option of a morning or afternoon session.

Open Days

Watch our Open Day video.

Our next Open Day events will take place in summer 2024.

Open Days are the perfect opportunity for your students to experience first hand what student life at Cardiff is like, speak to our academic and professional services staff, and get their questions answered.

Email openday@cardiff.ac.uk if you are interested in bringing a school group.

We have attended open days in the past and intend to make it an annual event in the school calendar due to the success of our visits. The open days are extremely well organised and the schools liaison team are fantastic. Communication is timely and we always receive programmes beforehand, which our pupils love as it allows them to plan their day before attending.

Academic schools

Our academic schools often run on-campus events for both teachers and students at various key stages. Search our school and college engagement activities.

As well as University Open Days special information events are held by the School of Medicine. This allows prospective students, applicants, teachers and careers advisors to gain a more in-depth understanding of the school's courses and the facilities on offer.
