Opportunities to visit

There are a number of opportunities for individual students and school groups to visit our campus and learn more about the University first-hand.

Virtual Open Day

Our next Open Day will take place online on Friday 3 July. This Virtual Open Day will be an opportunity for you to experience all that Cardiff University has to offer from the comfort of your home.

You’ll have the chance to watch our talks and information sessions and ask us questions about topics such as our courses, accommodation and support services. Further details will be available closer to the time.

Register now to be first to receive updates and information.

We have attended open days in the past and intend to make it an annual event in the school calendar due to the success of our visits. The open days are extremely well organised and the schools liaison team are fantastic. Communication is timely and we always receive programmes beforehand, which our pupils love as it allows them to plan their day before attending.

Teacher feedback, July 2019

Your students will gain a first-hand insight into life at one of Britain’s leading teaching and research universities and can benefit from:

  • academic talks, displays and demonstrations
  • presentations on key topics such as student finance, the application process and student life
  • campus tours led by our current students
  • viewing University accommodation
  • the opportunity to put questions to our current staff and students.

Academic schools

Our academic schools run on-campus events for both teachers and students at various key stages. Search our school and college engagement activities.

As well as University Open Days special information events are held by the School of Medicine. This allows prospective students, applicants, teachers and careers advisors to gain a more in-depth understanding of the school's courses and the facilities on offer.
